A one-of-a-kind handcrafted art piece inspired by the archetypal phenomenon of rebirth.
I initially created this artwork after experiencing a complete upheaval in my life. It felt as though my old life was radically burnt to the ground and a new path or lens of perception was just starting to emerge. When I was initially designing and planning Rebirth, I thought it was to symbolize this specific past experience… But by the time I finished the piece, I realized that it was also symbolic of an ongoing process, of constantly allowing ourselves to be reborn in each moment.
The artwork is made from:
- Ash wood that has been torched, with some of the charred material rubbed away and some of the char remaining.
- Acrylic painted sprout
- The entire piece is finished in high quality wood finishes (danish oil and polyurethane)
- Handcrafted frame made from stained Douglas Fir. Secured with professional joinery (splines) and finished with high quality hardwood oil.
Ready-to-hang with an easy to install metal cleat that will keep the piece secure and level on your wall. Instructions will be included in the shipment to help install the bracket on your wall. Artwork should be hung out of direct sunlight, since UV exposure will fade wood products over time.
