Handmade artwork depicting the towering beauty of Ama Dablam, a mountain in the Himalayas of Nepal. This piece was hand-cut and then carved to create subtle 3D depth and shaping. I love how well this piece highlights the complexity of colours and patterns in the local hardwoods.
This artwork is made from:
- A variety of walnut and maple wood (curly maple, hard maple, pieces with bark inclusions)
- Cabinet-grade plywood as a canvas/backing
- Acrylic paint that has been finished/sealed.
- Handcrafted frame made from red oak (dyed oil used as a finish)
Easy-to-hang with a picture wire that will keep the piece secure and level on your wall. Artwork should be hung out of direct sunlight, since UV exposure will fade wood products over time.
