Alex Jepson, based in the Kootenays of British Columbia, creates one-of-a-kind wood art inspired by his profound connection to the natural world. Growing up exploring the outdoors, Alex cultivated a deep appreciation for the mountains, waterfalls, lakes and forests—places where he has felt most alive. This longstanding love for nature infuses every piece he creates, transforming moments of awe and serenity into tangible works of art.

The Journey

After years of struggling with mental health, Alex discovered wood art in 2018 as a transformative form of healing and reconnection. The meditative flow states he found in woodworking helped him break free from old thought patterns and reconnect with Life. This journey also reignited his creative spirit and deepened his love of nature. He has often said that "art saved my life".

What began as a personal journey to reclaim his life has evolved into a thriving artistic practice. Alex now views his art as an act of devotion to the natural world—a way to honor its beauty and share its inspiring and regenerative qualities with others.

The Process
