FAQs

I’m open to discussing commissions for ideas that align with my artistic vision and creative process. However, I’ve become highly selective about custom projects to ensure I can focus on creating pieces that are deeply meaningful.

Currently, I create a small number of pieces each year. This allows me to devote the time, care, and attention necessary to craft unique, lasting works of art. To stay updated on my exclusive creations and be the first to know when they’re available, sign up for my newsletter or follow along on social media.

No, each piece is one-of-a-kind and will not be restocked. Once sold, it becomes a unique treasure for its collector.

To discover new, exclusive pieces as they become available, sign up for my newsletter or follow along on social media.

If you're in the Kootenays (BC) or planning a visit, feel free to contact me to arrange an in-person viewing of a specific piece.

If that's not possible, I’m happy to set up a Zoom or Skype call, or provide additional photos/videos of any available artwork.

You can pay with any major credit card when purchasing through my website.

For Canadian customers, I also accept e-transfers, but these must be arranged outside the website. If you’d like to pay via e-transfer, please contact me to confirm the artwork you'd like to purchase and indicate that e-transfer is your payment preference.

If neither of these options works for you, feel free to reach out, and we can discuss alternative payment methods.

All wood artwork is sealed and finished with high-quality products for lasting protection. Maintenance is not necessary, however over time dust may accumulate.

Upon purchase I will send a short video highlighting the best way to clean the artwork.

To clean, gently blow off dust using an air compressor set to low pressure (if available), followed by wiping with a lint-free cloth. If needed, you can use a slightly damp cloth to remove stubborn dust, ensuring you dry the surface immediately afterwards with a clean, dry cloth.

Take extra care with your fingernails, rings and around fine details to avoid snagging the cloth, as this could cause damage.

All of my artwork is created for indoor use.

The only restriction indoors is to avoid hanging in direct sunlight. Hardwoods and dyed wood will fade over time even with proper finishing techniques.

Hanging hardware is included for all larger artwork, which is a cleat system that will safely hold the artwork on the wall. Large and heavier pieces need to have their cleat system mounted securely into wall studs, or have appropriate drywall anchors.

Each artwork is packaged individually, according to its unique needs.

In general, the art will be initially protected by a layer of paper, then multiple layers of cardboard. Thick cardboard, plywood or foam is used to provide additional safety on the face, as well as the sides and edges of the frame.

Larger and heavier artwork will be shipped in a custom wooden crate. This is sometimes required by shipping companies, or simply necessary to ensure safe transit.

Processing and shipping times can vary due to the unique nature of each artwork.

Once your order is placed, Alex prioritizes carefully packaging the piece for shipment. Typically, processing and packaging take 7-10 days, after which your artwork will be shipped.

Throughout this process, Alex will keep you updated to ensure transparency and clear expectations every step of the way.

Shipping is available and included in the price for purchases being shipped to Canada and continental USA.

If you live outside of these areas, please contact me for the price and details to ship to your specific country.

See the FAQ below for details on USA duties and customs.

All applicable duties and customs fees are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your local customs office for more information on potential charges before making your purchase.

All purchases are final sale.

However, in the unlikely event that your artwork is damaged during shipping, I will request photos of the damage and ensure the piece is repaired or replaced.

Your satisfaction and the integrity of the artwork are my priorities.
